The Church Cook OutWe generally have three cook outs per year. The Men's Ministry sponors one in June around Father's Day. Then in the latter part of July our Youth Ministry sponsors what we call a Youth Explosion. Finally in August we go to the Bethlehem Township Municipal Park and just spread out.All our cook out are open to family and friends. There is no cost other than bringing your favorite cook dish to share with all who attends. It is a grand time with lots of food and fun for all. This year our Church Cook Out will be on Saturday, August 20th at the Bethlehem Township Municipal Park. Come on by and check us out!
Zion Praise and Worship TeamThrough the obedience of the Holy Spirit, Zion Ministry is to create an atmosphere of worship and usher the saints of God into a spirit of praise and adoration, preparing our heart so the word of God can be planted. When the people of God come together in corporate praise & worship, together we are plowing our ground so we can receive all that God has for us.Healing, deliverance, peace, strength whatever you need you can receive as long as you are prepared. That is why it so important to keep the atmosphere rich with worship when we see the hand of God moving. Not to be spectators but participators enriching the atmosphere with our worship & praise. As a farmer plows the fields (our mind), prepare the soil (our heart) to receive the seed (the Word) so it (we) bring forth fruit to share with others.
Ministry Voices ChoirCreating an atmosphere with music so our temple will be ready to receive the word of God. This also enables our Pastor to stand and preach the Word because we are in receiving mode. We minister God’s Word through our songs, glorifying God, edifying the church and bringing repentance to all. Music is found through out the Bible.
Worship MinistryThe Worship Ministry, at the present time, consist of the Zion Praise and Worship Team, the Ministry Voices Choir, the Daughters of Zion Dance Ministry and the Holy Ghost Band. The purpose and mission of the Worship Ministry is to usher in the presence of God into every service, preparing the ground of the heart for the impartation of the Word of God. We seek to raise the level of spiritual consciousness to the point where our hearts, minds and souls are open to experience the true worship of God in spirit and in truth.

Thus our children are most important to us and especially in the church setting.

Precious Women of Virtue MinistryThe Precious Women of Virtue Ministry desires to be an instrument of God's grace by becoming women of holiness in humility. We minister biblically and encourage women to proclaim and live His truth by nurturing though love and prayer, empowering through trust and direction, and encouragement through service, leadership and education for the edification of the body of Christ. Together we strive to be "Women Touching Other Women" through outreaches, retreats and conferences that show the love of Christ to our community as vessels that help to build the Kingdom of God. The ministry is rooted in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up; just as in fact you are doing."
Touch Points for Mens' MinistryThe Touch Points for Men's ministry is designed to help men answer some basic questions of life: (1) How can I get more done? (2) Where is God in my time of crisis? (3) Does God have a special purpose for me? (4) How do I deal with my bad habits? All of these and more are questions that men face every day and must find an answer. Our goal is through bible study, fellowship and other common activities to discover what God has to say to and about men in these situations and what we need to face the various challenges of being Christian men in a secular society.
SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH OF BETHLEHEM, PASTATEMENT OF FAITHIn addition to the eighteen articles of faith (listed in the back of The New National Baptist Hymnal) adopted by the Second Baptist Church at its inception we further believe the following:1. We believe in one God Who is eternal in His existence, multiplied in manifestation and sovereign in His authority.2. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead for our total salvation. (Luke 3:21-22; Philippians 2:5-11)3. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed and set free from the penalty of sin, the power of sin and when he comes again from the very presence of sin. We further believe that we are set free from the bondage and the forces of darkness. (Romans 5:9-11; Ephesians 1:7; Revelations 12:11)4. We believe that the Bible is the true infallible Word of God, that it is verbally and plenary inspired by God and cleanses our souls. It holds the word of eternal life and the keys of the Kingdom of God. The Bible shows us God’s principles and standards for living; and it is the food that sustains us in all circumstances. (John 1:14; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 John 2:5-6)5. We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs in each believer upon the acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and Master; and that such baptism places the believer into the body of Christ.6. We further believe that the Holy Spirit may manifest Himself in the filling of the believer. This manifestation is often evidenced by but not limited to the speaking with other tongues (Acts 2:4; Ephesians 5:18-21). Thus we believe that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is best evidenced by a life to exhibit the holiness and righteous of an almighty and sovereign God.7. We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This manifestation includes the Five Fold Ministry gifts along with tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, helps and healing plus…. (Mark 16:15-18: Acts 5:16: 2 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4)8. We believe that tithes and offerings is the biblical financial plan of God and through the giving of tithes and offerings the individual and the congregation is blessed of God.9. We believe that the just shall live by faith and this faith will manifest itself in the form a prayer life. We believe that a prayer life is a necessary and required part of the true Christians life style and of utmost importance to anyone who seeks a leadership role.

SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH MISSION STATEMENTThe mission of the Second Baptist Church of Bethlehem, PA. is "Serving God by serving the people of God, preparing saints for Kingdom living now." We believe that serving God by serving the people of God is a process mininstering to the whole man. To this end we seek to go into all the world and preach, through our living, the word of God to every one. We believe the preaching of God's word through our living to be paramount to the saving of souls. We seek to go beyond the confounds of the current congregation to take the saving word of Jesus to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Uttermost parts of the world. This will be accomplished through teaching and ministering to the faithful within the house (Jerusalem), then our immediate neighborhood (Judea), the the span beyond that (Samaria) and ultimately to all with who we come in contact (Uttermost). Thus we commit our faith in Christ to the faithful who will in trun commit it to the faithful who will commit it to the faithful creating the multiplied inheritance of God's word.It is our purpose to do all in the name of Jesus; to bring glory and honor and majesty to Him in every word, thought and deed. It is our quest to live as unto the Lord each and every day in each and every circumstance..We will seek those who are best equipped by God to work in our leadership roles. The presence or manifestation of the Holy Spirit is most important to a leader. We seek those who are willing to be committed and submitted to and under the authority of God to be used to execute the authority of God. We seek those willing to be under control and not in control and further acknowledge that all authoriy comes from God .
